Atty. Margaret C. Dacatimbang – a UMAK PolSci and Makule Alumna, Passed the 2011 Bar Exam

images/stories/nayet.jpgA Cum Laude Political Science graduate of University of Makati (UMAK) in 2007, and the former The Makati Collegian (Makule) Associate Editor, Margaret  joins this year’s proud Bar passers who took the examination last November 2011 at University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Nayet (her nickname), twenty-four-year-old, grew up in San Miguel, Tarlac. She is the second  to the eldest among the three siblings and was born with a  twin. Filled with love and positivity in life, she wrote in  a short  post in  Facebook, “Nothing is Impossible - ito yung palagi kong kinakanta nung nagre-review ako...Nothing is impossible with JESUS CHRIST, our LORD. THANK U JESUS, pinatunayan mo na naman sa akin at sa lahat na buhay ka.”

 

She studied at Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Law School, reviewed for a few months and bravely took her first shot on the Bar. With unwavering determination and consistent prayers, the first attempt turned into a huge success making her an addition to the future great lawyers of the land.

The result of the exam was released at exactly 2PM of Tuesday, February 28. Out of 5,990 examinees,  1,913  or 31.95% made it to the list . Supreme Court Spokesman Jose Midas Marquez said that this year’s result was the second  highest passing rate in the history of the Philippine Bar examinations, next to the 32 percent in 2003.
